The Iranian National Volleyball team defeated Australia 3-1 in the second round of the FIVB Championships in Poland on Wednesday night, September 11. Also in the second round, Poland lost to the U.S. with similar results.
The current results puts France at the top of the group with 10 points, and Poland trails in the second spot with nine points. Iran now ranks fourth in the group with eight points.
In the other group in the championships, Brazil, Russia and Germany currently hold the top three spots after second-round play.
Iran will face Argentina in its next game on Thursday September 11. Iran will also face Poland and France, the first two teams in its group, on September 13 and 14 respectively.
