Ayatollah Khamenei says the situation in Gaza is the Islamic world’s leading concern and Palestinians need to be supported in every way. Iran’s Supreme Leader said the forced insistence on a ceasefire is only aimed at saving the “Zionist regime.”
The Mehr News Agency reports that the Iranian leader was speaking at the Fitre Eid Mass prayers when he said: “The invading enemy is already regretting its action and seeking a ceasefire.”
He insisted that “in contrast to the efforts of the supporters of the infanticidal Zionist regime, all the world including the World of Islam is responsible for supplying the Palestinians with all the help they need.”
Three weeks into Israel’s attack on Gaza, more than 110 Palestinians, mostly civilians, have been killed.
Ayatollah Khamenei said in his speech: “Rabid dogs and vicious wolves have attacked the innocent people, and humanity must react to this attack.”
