Three professional Iranian football players were arrested by the authorities at a party.
Khabar on line published the news on Tuesday November 18 without identifying the players, indicating only that they are well known stars from one of the country’s top football teams.
Neighbours reportedly called the police due to persistent loud noise. The detained soccer players reportedly paid a fine and were released after signing a pledge not to re-offend.
Khabar on line reports the football club’s efforts to keep a lid on the news did not succeed.
In August, a member of Iran’s National Football team was arrested and reprimanded for attending a party. The Revolutionary Guards often arrest young people attending parties involving music and dancing.
