Iran’s foreign ministry reports that two Iranians were killed in the bomb attack on a Shia Mosque in Kuwait on Friday June 26.
The Iranian ambassador to Kuwait also announced that five Iranians were injured in the attack.
A suicide bomber detonated a bomb in Imam Sadegh Mosque in the Kuwaiti capital, leaving 27 people dead and 220 injured.
A national day of mourning was held on Saturday in remembrance of the people killed in the attack.
The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has taken responsibility for the attack.
This is the first time Kuwait’s Shias, who comprise one-third of Kuwait’s population, have been targeted with such an attack.
