The Forests of Amol in Mazandaran Province and Kohdasht in Lorestan have fallen victim to widespread fires since yesterday, August 4.
According to the Javan Reporters Club, the Amol forest fires persist because rocky paths makes access difficult.
The Kohdasht forest fires, which began around 2 PM yesterday, have not been completely extinguished either.
In the past week, forest fires have also ravaged parts of Gilan and Qazvin.
In addition, a report from Ilam indicates that in the past five months, 1,200 hectares of Zagros vegetation has been destroyed by fires.
Despite the rise in fires in spring and summer, government organizations do not have adequate equipment, and in some areas people can only rely on buckets of water to face the fires.
Reports indicate that forest fires have grown by 20 percent in the past year.
