Abbas Araghchi, the top Iranian diplomat involved in the talks, reports that the meeting between Iran and the U.S. has been very positive, adding that “we are taking the initiative to transform the shape of the talks to speed up matters”.

Salehi is also set to meet with the Swiss minister of energy to discuss technical aspects of the negotiations between Iran and the 5+1.

The current round of talks began on Friday February 20 in Geneva at the level of deputy minister, and according to reports, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry will join them on Sunday.

The Iranian team has reported that it has now entered talks about the details of the agreement regarding the number of nuclear centrifuges and the timeline for lifting sanctions against Iran, which remain the main two points of contention in the talks.
