Varia Tasseh, a protester who was arrested in Marivon earlier this week during demonstrations against the execution of political prisoners, has been released on bail.

Mokerian reports that Tasseh was arrested on Tuesday November 5 during protests against the execution of three Kurdish political prisoners who had been on death row for the past few years.

The protesters were dispersed by Marivon security police and reports indicate some were arrested.

Reza Esmaili, Habibollah Golparipour and Shirkouh Moarefi were hanged in recent weeks in Kurdistan Province. Mokerian reports that Tasseh was released on Thursday on bail of 250 million rials.
