A high-ranking academic delegation headed by Abdollatif Albadr has arrived in Tehran.

ISNA reports that the delegation included a number of deputies and presidents of Kuwaiti universities responding to an invitation from Iranian academia.

The head of the University of Kuwait will meet with a number of Iranian officials during his one-week stay in Iran.

The visit has been reportedly coordinated by Iran’s Ministry of Culture in order to examine ways of expanding scientific and academic collaboration between Iran and its neighbouring Muslim countries.

ISNA reports that the Kuwaiti delegation will sign a number of agreements with Iran’s higher education institutes such as the Tehran, Isfahan and Shiraz Universities and their Medical Sciences Universities.
