Two explosions in a Shia neighbourhood in Lebanon near Iran's cultural attaché office killed at least four people and wounded many more.

A Sunni group linked to Al-Qaida took responsibility for the explosions, saying Iran's cultural attaché office was the target.

In recent months, a series of attacks has taken place in Lebanon that are linked to the Syrian conflict.

Abdollah Ezzam, of the Sunni Jihadist group that took responsibility for today’s attack, has been quoted as saying earlier that attacks will continue as long as Iran remains involved in Syria.
